Fall of Songs – A Two Minute Meditation

Posted by in Meditation Videos, Meditations, Waterfalls

The Trip Fall of Songs waterfall is on the property of the Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, NH in the Lake Winnipesaukee region.  If you use the New England Waterfalls book for directions, as of July 2015, the price of admission to see the falls is now the full admission price.  In the book (published in 2010) they noted a smaller entrance fee for the falls only.  That’s no longer the case. Of course, being on a waterfall mission, I paid and went on. For the casual waterfall chaser, it was fairly pricey – $16….read more

Buffalo Creek Falls – A Two Minute Meditation

Posted by in Meditation Videos, Meditations, Waterfalls

My visit to Wellington Lake and Buffalo Creek Falls felt like the most authentic Colorado Rockies experience of my entire trip in July 2016. 13 miles of dirt roads after 40 or so long and winding ones through Pike National Forest surrounded by the breathtaking majesty of the these mountains brought me to this little camping area under the shadow of Castle Mountain.  The hike was an easy, pleasurable one, but always cautious of the bear that many signposts made clear were nearby. It was highlighted by several species of butterfly I’d never seen in the…read more

Beede Falls – A Two Minute Meditation

. The trip to Beede Falls was one of several waterfalls I visited in the Winnipesaukee area the weekend of July 4th 2016.  This is a lovely little falls with a big shallow pool to cool off in on a hot summer day.  It’s a little off the beaten path, but a nice visit if you’re in the area. The nearby town of Center Sandwich is also lovely. The falls themselves drop over a ledge allowing you to sit behind the water and look outward.  It’s something of a secret hideaway.  Meditation…read more

Beaver Brook Falls – A Two Minute Meditation

Posted by in Meditation Videos, Meditations, Waterfalls

On a overcast April afternoon, I twisted around the underbrush at the Beaver Brook Reservation on the Belmont Waltham border to get some shots of this small man made falls.  It was a comedy of errors.  I slipped and nearly fell only keeping myself upright by grabbing hold of a tree coated in early spring poison ivy vines.  I twisted my ankle a little and let out some choice words.  None of these little personal follies are betrayed by the view of the falls below. There’s always something underlying the beautiful that can help…read more
